A New Beginning - Part 2

The West Sussex Invitation Cricket League was formed for the start of the 2009 season by the merger of the Invitation League and the West Sussex Cricket League. Both the SICL and WSCL had previously enjoyed long and illustrious histories,but the desire of all parties to move to a cascading style of automatic promotion and relegation throughout the county eventually led to the merger.
The 2010 season sees the League restuctured to one of 10 divisions allowing the free flow of teams base on abillity. Also Sussex Cricket League 3rd XIs have joined the league. There will also be automatic promotion from our league into the Sussex County League from the 2011 season thereby creating a genuine pyramid structure.
