A New Beginning!
The West Sussex Invitation Cricket League has been formed for the start of the 2009 season by the merger
of the Invitation League and the West Sussex Cricket League. Both the SICL and WSCL had previously enjoyed long and
illustrious histories,but the desire of all parties to move to a cascading style of automatic promotion and
relegation throughout the county eventually led to the merger.
There will be a two tiered competition in 2009 but we have now decided to move to an integrated divisional
structure from the start of the 2010 season. This will involve all standards of teams competing at the levels
of their respective successes and competencies. There will also be automatic promotion from our new league into
the Sussex County League from the 2011 season thereby creating a genuine pyramid structure. Other changes and
developments are being discussed with the Sussex Cricket Board but our new merged league is well structured to
cope with whatever change may happen in the future.

of required free dates and details of pitch sharing with other clubs
Transfers
Dave Moon has transfered from Portslade to Broadwater. Available from 29th July 2009
Jordan Woodsford has transfered from St.Peters (ESL) to Belgrave Adelaide. Available from 15th July 2009
Chris Green has transferred from Littlehampton to Clymping. Available from 15th July 2009
Harry Williams has transferred from Steyning to Clymping. Available for selection from 13th June 2009
